For ESnet Users and Partners

ESnet Logo

The ESnet logo was updated in 2024 by the ESnet CX Working Group as part of the Packets Design System project, with assistance from Berkeley Lab's Creative Services Office.

  • ESnet prefers that our users and partners use our primary logo, with our full name. The shorter logo is provided for use when the full logo will not be readable, such as in diagrams and presentation footers. Please read the 2025 ESnet Brand Guidelines before using the logos.
  • If you need a different version or size of the ESnet logo, please reach out to media@es.net

ESnet Acknowledgment Text

If you work at a DOE national laboratory, user facility, or scientific instrument, and your research collaboration involves sharing data sets with other DOE-funded partners, including high performance computing (HPC) or other user facilities, that data is transported via the ESnet6 network.

Unlike other user facilities, ESnet does not require users to register or report their research activities utilizing the network. However, we welcome knowing about the scientific breakthroughs that ESnet accelerates, and will amplify them when possible.

Please consider including the following statement in your papers, science highlights, press releases, and other publications following any HPC or other required user-facility acknowledgments.

If your research involved transferring data to, from, or between DOE user facilities:

This research relied on the Energy Sciences Network (ESnet), the Department of Energy Office of Science’s sole networking user facility, for high-performance, high-speed data transfer.

Users of EJFAT, OSCARS and other ESnet Special Services

If you have the space, we’d appreciate a slightly more detailed acknowledgement. If your research used the EJFAT load balancer hardware or technology:

This research relied on the Energy Sciences Network (ESnet), the Department of Energy Office of Science’s sole networking user facility, and on the EJFAT load balancer, developed by ESnet in collaboration with the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility, for high-performance, high-speed data transfer.

If your research used OSCARS circuits:

This research relied on the Energy Sciences Network (ESnet), the Department of Energy Office of Science’s sole networking user facility, and ESnet’s OSCARS virtual circuit service for high-performance, high-speed data transfer.
