Se Young Yu
Se-Young Yu
Network Research Engineer

Se-young's primary focus is researching and developing new technologies and services to help the ESnet community engage with testbeds and prototypes. He also collaborates with other team members to help implement services for science communities.

He earned his MS and Ph.D. from the University of Auckland. He primarily works with high-performance data movement, virtualization, data pipelining for AI, and programmable data plane. He measured the performance of various high-speed data transfer protocols, including GridFTP and FDT in his Ph.D. He worked on mobile computation offloading in Android as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Paris 6 and DTN-as-a-Service orchestration and P4 integration with DTN at Northwestern University.
